Quick tip for the Matchy Matchy designers. It’s time to let you know, that even if blue is your favorite color it doesn’t have to be the ONLY color in your space. The fun thing with design is to make it your own…and most like you wouldn’t only own blue shirts, pants, socks, shoes, etc…now would you?
So if you’re ready to get a little more adventurous start by adding an accent wall of color in your space. Use that to define the overall theme of the room. You can often see what colors work well together by going to any Paint store and pairing color swatches, or fabric from a Craft store. Once you ahve chose a palet of color of about 3, you can then add emphasis via shades. For example if you have chosen a chocolate brown, baby blue, and creme….you can add variations to the mix within shaded of blue-ish gray, taupe, and some crisp white…even a splash or orange would really make the space pop!
